Teacher Training Diploma & Certification
The Teacher Training Diploma and Certification curriculum is a two
year course depending on past training and dance experience. This
program includes academic subjects, ballet and modern training,
practical experience as trainee teachers, and performance participation
with Ballet Excelsior of Houston or mission trips with Excelsior
Missions.

SCB Examinations
Teacher training also includes detailed work and examination from the Sonshine Christian Ballet (SCB) Syllabus:
Elementary (Devotion/Level 7)
Intermediate (Glory/Level 8)
Advanced (Level 9) (if applicable)
Lab Hours
Trainee teachers complete their lab hours
by working with students at Excelsior
School of Dance and Performing Arts. This
studio has over one hundred students covering
all grade levels of the SCB syllabus.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must achieve a minimum level equivalent to the Royal Academy of Dance: Elementary Level.
Applicants may audition if he or she does not have the proper credentials.
