Sonja Staines
Artistic Director
Ms. Staines is the founder of the Sonshine Theater Company (STC). She is co-author and examiner of the Sonshine Christian Ballet (SCB) Syllabus currently being taught internationally and in the United States. Staines' involvement in the performing arts spans over three decades since her training with Estel Anderson, a Cecchetti Teacher and Examiner in Australia. She was subsequently Co-Director of a dance studio in Queensland, Australia for over fifteen years and has produced musicals, variety shows, and ballet productions in Australia, Canada, and the United States.
Liza Pollok
Director
Ms. Pollok is currently the Director and Choreographer of Ballet Excelsior of Houston. She has studied dance since the age of five, training in Australia and Canada before relocating to the United States. She has examined in the Sonshine Christian Ballet (SCB), the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD), Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and Christian Ballet Academy (CBA) and holds her teachers qualifications in SCB, CSTD, and CBA.
Liza has danced in Europe, Canada, Australia, Central America and the United States (Ad Deum Dance Company). She is the co-writer of the Sonshine Christian Ballet syllabus in the United States.
